colon hydrotherapy

In the west, we place more emphasis on cleaning inside our cars and houses than we do our bodies. The thought of cleaning ourselves internally is alien to us. Yet, an annual 'spring clean' can make all the difference to our bodies working more efficiently and lasting longer.

Colon Hydrotherapy or Colonic Irrigation as it is also known, is one of the oldest medical treatments. Implements for giving enemas and descriptions of their use are recorded in Egyptian Ebers papyrus dating from 1500BC. In the early 19th century it was further popularised by Dr John Kellogg and further promoted by Dr Jensen in the US.

Enemas and colonics are very much a part of cleansing programmes to restore health. The relieving effect can be instant, resulting in people feeling lighter, cleaner with increased mental clarity, clearer skin and feeling more energetic after a treatment.
Colonic irrigation is a safe and hygienic system for cleansing the colon.

Problems resulting from poor excretion include skin disorders, pulmonary disorders, general mental impairment, lethargy, poor concentration, depression, piles, bloating, halitosis, rheumatic diseases, allergies, candida, headaches, and excess weight gain to mention a few.

After a series of treatments using colonic hydrotherapy, the digestion can become stronger and more efficient. It is estimated that 80% of all immune tissue resides in the colon. Once the colon has been thoroughly cleansed, thereafter diet, exercise or other health programs are likely to be more affective.

  About Me

After a history of childhood illnesses and food intolerances, I developed Psoriasis,IBS and allergies. Having little success with conventional medicine, I decided to look elsewhere for methods that promoted self healing. After regaining my health through a combination of diet and other therapies including Colon Hydrotherapy I decided  that I really wanted to do this treatment myself and help other people to heal the natural way.I  was very lucky to be trained by Dr Milo Siewert at The National College of Colon Hydrotherapy whom introduced the treatment into the UK in the 80’s and its popularity and availability is due to him.    I am a member of the Association and Register of Colonic Hydrotherapists (ARCH) which is a member of the General Naturopathic Council (GNC).

In my practice, I use a combination of colonics, liver cleanses, advice on diet and herbs to promote a well functioning digestive system. As a colon Hydrotherapist we believe that regular internal cleansing acts as your first defence against disease.

I am now one of the few providers of colonic irrigation in the South and offer appointments everyday, evenings and weekends.
